[Hiyori reads the letter for the first time standing, eyes immediately catching the very personal address in the first paragraph. He sits down and reads it a second time. He reads it a third time, fingertips tracing over the words. They're difficult, not at all because they're in English. He sits there at the otherwise empty desk, thinking, drawing no conclusions.

It takes several minutes for Hiyori to scrounge up that book, to keep this letter clean in, and writing supplies of his own. He gets down his thoughts on a sheet of paper, front and back. Then, he takes the fire rod out from his jacket, tosses the page in the air, and sets it on fire.]
